Indiana makes me feel like

This is a thread from just two years about how Indiana fans thought they were in purgatory and ten wins would be impossible.

We are what we are.

Who gives a s***.

We’re a bunch of people worshipping college kids on a Saturday. Nebraska football could be better, and should be, but we aren’t. Oh, well. Our progress isn’t great, but there is progress.

I’m glad Indiana won tonight. Cignetti has shaken up college football. Nebraska will get better, just not in the timeframe that myself and others expected.

How many iowa fans broke their TVs last night and/or attempted suicide?

They come over here to tell us how proud they are of #WinningSeason and how they don't want to make changes or get a new coach.

What Cigs has done is exactly why fans should demand more.

According to those who know ...you can't rebuild a program in less than 5 years (said every Frost and Rhule apologist). We've heard it said with Rhule that we would see the magic "Rhule year 3 effect"....which was a dud.

I am happy for Indiana....love Cignetti...but it makes me wonder why we continue to do this in such a poor unproductively expensive way?

Does this Indiana success make Husker Nation look like a big group of back country rubes? I think it does.

Both hired to rebuild B1G bottom feeders
Cignetti vs Rhule
2 years vs 3 years
24-2 vs 19-18

One program ranked #1 going into playoffs with an outright conference championship and undefeated after beating other playoff teams in the regular season.

One program is unranked going to some unknown bowl game with blowout losses from powerhouses like Minnesota and Iowa and another rout from Penn State with an interim coach.

The number of “freshman” posters losing their mind over Rhule right now is impressive. Sure hope their cat is hiding tonight.
I've been here for 20 years. Rhule is an incompetent leader, terrible at evaluating talent, and determines who gets playing time based on his feelings instead of objective facts.

Welcome to purgatory. The idiots that wanted Rhule extended have zero knowledge of football.

Rhule didn’t walk in to this mess with Mark Cuban’s NIL support. Do we all forget who was running our NIL program?

I didn’t see anybody advocating for an extension before it happened. Some tried to explain it. It was weird.

Anyone who criticizes Rhule is an iowa fan

Yeah, watching some of last night’s game did bring back some bad memories of Iowa’s 20-15 loss to Indiana…when QB Gronowski got hurt in that 2nd half. At least Iowa’s season was entertaining to watch and they were never out of any game. However, I can’t imagine how depressing it would have been to be a Nebraska fan. 🥴
