Yeah, watching some of last night’s game did bring back some bad memories of Iowa’s 20-15 loss to Indiana…when QB Gronowski got hurt in that 2nd half. At least Iowa’s season was entertaining to watch and they were never out of any game. However, I can’t imagine how depressing it would have been to be a Nebraska fan. 🥴
You were out of every game you lost. That is what losing is...

But you guys have been conditioned by your coach to think that close losses, in year 30, are okay.

We are what we are.

Who gives a s***.

We’re a bunch of people worshipping college kids on a Saturday. Nebraska football could be better, and should be, but we aren’t. Oh, well. Our progress isn’t great, but there is progress.

I’m glad Indiana won tonight. Cignetti has shaken up college football. Nebraska will get better, just not in the timeframe that myself and others expected.
Climate change will lead to the south and the west becoming increasingly unlivable, people from California, Florida, Louisiana will move to Nebraska because we have food, water, and no sea-levels or hurricanes. Our team will be really good. Something similar is happening in Utah right now. Two good college football teams because people have been moving from California to Utah for a decade now to get away from the dystopia that is California. At the same time California hasn't had a good football team. It isn't just about the home-grown talent but also the money available to be spent on football and the cultural priorities. Certain cultures waste hard earned money on 18-22 year olds so that they make them feel better about themselves one day a week.

Rhule didn’t walk in to this mess with Mark Cuban’s NIL support. Do we all forget who was running our NIL program?
Indiana has a fund setup, but we've been spending more annually than them since NIL began. Your excuse-making has grown completely stale dingleberry.

Do you have a short memory? This place was full of idiots crying that Penn State might hire Rhule after beating a terrible Michigan State team.
I think that was their AD’s plan A when they fired Franklin. Rhule screwed it up by losing the way he did. JMO, but I can see no other logical reason for what their AD did. Maybe it was just pure delusion. He clearly was in contact with Rhule before the Minnesota debacle. Was he serious then? No way to know. That guy fumbled this horribly.

You have no idea how much Indiana actually spent but it’s pretty clear they got more bang for their buck with their QB.

No I don't know an exact number, but I know it's less than what Nebraska spent. Their roster is filled with 3 stars and 0 stars and just beat a team loaded with 5 stars in Ohio State. Yes they are getting much more bang for their buck at every single roster position, because coaching matters, which is an argument I've led my entire time on this board.

You don’t know it’s less than Nebraska spent. It’s okay if they did spend more. They did a better job primarily with their DC and QB . I don’t really think Indiana had more talent other than at probably right OT and QB. It’s fair to be critical. It’s obvious Butler didn’t do a great job. It’s obvious Dylan held the ball too long and checked out of plays too often. We have to get better.

Nor do the people who just scream Mark Cuban’s name over and over and over again.

But IU getting more bang for its buck? Now that’s something we should all be able to agree on.

They are best friends from Temple. Rhule absolutely was a candidate. However Rhule struggled with an easy B10 schedule removing himself from contention.

He just lead us to back to back winning seasons in how many years?
Our wins- oh wow Nebraska beat the absolute bottom of the barrel of the BIG

Just about anyone that has had any head coaching experience could have finished seven and five. I’m an armchair quarterback, and I feel like I could have accomplished the same record. And I would’ve done it for $500,000.

Cincinnati finished 7-5
Akron 5-7
Houston Christian 2-10
Northwestern 6-6
UCLA 3-9
Michigan State 4-8
Maryland 4-8

We lost to every team that had a pulse.

It must suck hating your team and head coach for making the post season 2 years on a row for the first time in over a decade. When this thing gets rolling we'll make sure there's enough room on the bandwagon for you!
