iPad Suggestion

Coming to the AKB for some technology advice.

Looking to get an iPad to help my young one pass the time in the car on roadtrips to see grandparents. Not going new but looking for a good refurbished one. It’ll primarily be for him to play a few games on and watch some movies. Looking WiFi only. Any suggestions about model, storage size, etc.?

Also, found some decent things on the Black Market website for refurbished electronics. Seems to be a reliable site. Any experiences with them?

Not sure of your price range, but my father has purchased quite a few used iPads on eBay for himself and my mom over the years. He's never had an issue. They're like new. The only thing I would caution ... the older iPads no longer support some of the newer operating systems (ios) and many of the apps in the apple store require the new(er) ios to download. So you may want to stick to a model that was made in the last 2-3 years.

I had an iPad that was purchased in 2013 that unfortunately could no longer be updated. I made the decision to buy a new one this year... didn't go the used route as the basic model on apple was $329.
