I know UM is our biggest rival, but seeing us favored over Bama would be another stride in the right direction.

even seen a ridiculously early spread w/ OM -6.5 for the eggbowl. You are picked above Ark in most polls though so you got that going for you.

Recruiting is taking place pre season and we want to constantly be building respect from season to season

Every year i look forward to one thing....beating ole miss....i want to beat bama, lsu, etc...but ole miss should be the main focus every year....if you go 8-3 and lose to ole miss....something has gone wrong and the season is lost....i know that sounds crazy but surely most of you agree</p>

I dont want to have to go to wal-mart and see ole miss fans all year knowing we lost that game. The recruiting game in MS relies so heavily on that game.

We still have another game to play.

But in response to your comment, I wouldn't say that the season is lost. We would still go to a quality bowl game at 8-4 or 9-3.

If the fourth loss is to a low quality ole miss team that late in the season i think it could have a great impact on wether we get a cotton bowl or capitol one bowl or a lesser bowl.

Right now, an 8-3 (or 8-4 since we play 12 games) is fine with me. It would be an improvement on last season's record and show that we are becoming a more consistent club. Furthermore, if that 8-4 somehow got us to Atlanta as SECW champs (I know not likely, but also not impossible), I really would not care if UM was one of the 4. Yes, I despise Ole Miss and hope we spank them in every sport every year, but a loss or a win over them does not define the season.

All I was pointing out is if we are 8-3 going into that game we have obviously beaten teams all year that are a better team than UM and if we lost to a lesser team that late in the season being our in state rival it could leave a bad tone going into the bowl season

this **** is getting ridiculous. if we went 9-3 every year and lost to OM every year I wouldn't bat an eye. would I like it? not until I am sitting in my seats at the bowl game. after that, I think I wouldn't mind too much.

I think you guys have developed some imposters or have at least picked up some folks that just want to screw with you. There seem to be quite a few low post count guys coming on here posting the overly sheepish or baiting type threads. I'm not buying that they're real. Either it's dawgstudent or HD6 just messing with people to try to get responses up, or it's some other idiots just having fun.

but it could be that we had a decent year last year and it is the first one since the creation of 6pack. this is not to mention that 6pack has been listed in several blogs and such. if these people are serious about their posts...god have mercy on their souls because they have yet to understand "Abandon all hope ye who cheer for the maroon and white"
