Gonna be iffy, it’s the same week as the CBS prime time game so unless something has changed, there will only be one other night game outside of LSU-Bama. But I’m not sure where SECN 6:30 opposite the biggest game of the week falls in the pecking order. We might end up with it. But 11 or 2:30 also on the table.
I think our best case is to get the 3:30 or 4 p.m. SEC Network opposite the CBS game like USCe and Missouri were this weekend. I think SECN at Noon is the best bet. (all times are EST). Especially against Kentucky with us fielding a team that can't score. Just feels right. Maybe Croom will make an appearance in the booth
We're mainly up against LSU @ AL, TX A&M @ Univ Northern MS, MIZZOU @ GA. Then there's the also rans AR @ FLARDA, JAXONVILLE ST @ SC, UCONN @ TN, AUB @ VANDY
Someone made a point I didn't realize. CBS has two games NoV 4. Cbs calls their 645pm(cdt) the prime time game.
Seems espn has aired games concurrently with cbs this year. However i dnk if this 645pm is special occasion. That late cbs game will be LSU/Bama. 230 is probably OM/aTm or UGA/Mizz. Hopefully we get 3pm secn

I fully expect us to be the 11 am SECN broadcast. It's possible that we get the 3 PM SECN slot, but less likely.
Top 3 slots are the CBS doubleheader and 11 am ESPN. I expect those to be filled by Bama-LSU, Georgia-Mizzou, and Ole Miss-A&M.

Interesting. Just read this blurb about tv scheduling from a Missouri newspaper in 2021:
"Some schools also have special agreements with networks to not schedule games for them at certain times in certain months. In the Pac-12, for example, Arizona and Arizona State can’t be scheduled for day games at home in September due to extreme heat."

I think the Big Ten has that for Prime Time games after late October due to snow/ice/other inclement weather.
I don't paraticularly care what it is "seen as", we could be playing for the National Championship and I would still hate the 11:00 time slot. Streets close at 7:00 a.m. meaning you have to be there by 6:00 a.m. to unload, set up, move the vehicle, etc. Attendance is always down, not many people want to tailgate before the game and hardly anybody want to hang around to tailgate after the game either, they want to go watch the afternoon and evening games. 11:00 just sucks on all fronts.
State "fans"/alumni are simply not showing up for games. I don't know why that is... (other than the fundamental reasons of tv, etc )
but.. maybe it's that Arnett wasn't an exciting hire??? I hope it isn't that State fans are dwindling in numbers and/or care.
Having Bama v lsu at the same time as our game will have some affect. Some State people will stay home just to watch that.
