Should we be a lock? Of course.

Are we a lock? To answer that question necessitates knowing the mind and inner workings of the committee, which nobody has ever successfully figured out.

I believe we are a lock for the tournament. However, it's never a good strategy to go into the tournament on a 4-game losing streak, so I expect this team to put some icing on the cake with a couple more regular season wins and one or more in the SECT.

I believe we are now playing for seeding in the NCAA Tourney. I believe the Lamont and our players know that. Hopefully, that will be a big motivator the rest of the way.

I'm going to say no, especially if we lose today.
Update: we won.
Still think we're being treated as a bubble team.

ABSOLUTELY no way with our record and Quad 1 wins we are a bubble team! The NCAA tourney has been a lock for a while now. All about seeding for both tourneys now and a possible SEC championship with a little help.

This may have been asked in another thread, but what are tie breaker rules for the regular season crown? Are there any or is it a shared title?

Just asking because we’d obviously love for Tennessee to win tonight so we can control our own destiny as far as records are concerned. But it obviously could come down to a three-way tie or more.

Shared title. When we won the MBB SEC regular season we were in a share with (UT?).

I think it’s a shared title but tie breaker is used for seeding in the tournament? At least that’s what others have said.

1997 SEC Champion Gamecocks went 15-1 and did not share the title with anyone. Only loss was to UGA in Athens 77-74 on a late 3 by the Dawgs.
I remember Pitino getting on a microphone and basically telling the loud and obnoxious crowd to shut up. He said something like this is South Carolina's day and to let them enjoy it.

I remember that too

I also remember when Arkansas came to the Frank; we went up 54-36 midway thru the second half and Nolan was losing his cool. The whole Coliseum started taunting, "NO-LAN, NO-LAN." IIRC he got T'd up shortly before or after that
