you must be new hereHow could you possibly hate him or any other player?
Don't know about most hated , but sadly he is up there . Sad thing is who gets picked on next year ?With those two losses coming at the hands of top five-ranked teams?
Thoughts?
That should be true, but it isn'tno one hates him
I thought of using the term disliked, but for some, it's at the hatred level and no question there's even more hatred for Franklin. That should be true, but it isn't

that's how you become better than averageA friendly suggestion would be for you to change the words “most hated” to “least popular”.
Also, you conveniently forgot to mention those 6 wins were achieved against average to below average teams.
I sincerely hope no one hates him. It’s just that he isn’t good. And that’s fine. Hey, not everyone is a star athlete. In fact, very few people are star athletes. With those two losses coming at the hands of top five-ranked teams?

Hatred is a very strong word/emotion. I do not agree there is hatred for Sean. There is disgruntlement. There is angst. There is frustration. But, he generally seems like a good person, and a good teammate. Some/many don’t like his skill level. But hatred? I don’t think there is hatred except for the normal lunatic fringe.I thought of using the term disliked, but for some, it's at the hatred level and no question there's even more hatred for Franklin.
Truth. Shaffer was one who knew he had limitations, but he found ways to win games within the offensive system that the team was using at that time. Shaffer would probably never sniff the field in this era of college football due to lack of ability that coaches are looking for in a top-flight QB. Clifford can't seem to find ways to win in the offensive system under Franklin, but instead, can find ingenious ways to lose games after six years in the program.John Shaffer had to earn his starting role in 1986 after losing the MNC the year before to finish 11-1
Very disappointing topic and even a poorer choice of words. Nothing positive can come from this. With those two losses coming at the hands of top five-ranked teams?

Yeah, precisely. There’s a lot of resentment that he hasn’t moved on but that will be a moot point soon enough.Hatred is a very strong word/emotion. I do not agree there is hatred for Sean. No he didn't . There was no way John Shaffer was not going to be the QB the next year .John Shaffer had to earn his starting role in 1986 after losing the MNC the year before to finish 11-1
Not hated, he just is what he is and above average QB, had a solid College career. With those two losses coming at the hands of top five-ranked teams?

a great dealHated? What the F is wrong with people?
No he is hated by some sadly , but that record does speak volumes ,I don't think he's hated. But he's 0-7 against Top 10 teams in his career, so there's an air of disappointment surrounding him....
He was and is pure evil on and off the fieldMike McQuerry is my most hated QB on so many levels. Not even close.
Not according to John Shaffer. Go to 2:10:No he didn't . There was no way John Shaffer was not going to be the QB the next year .

1 and 0 baby! What I want to see today: Penn State wins in a rout, 42-17. Clifford goes 30-42 for 370 yards, 4 TD passes, 0 picks
Aftewards, Clifford interrupts the on-field interview with Franklin, puts his grill in the camera, shows both middle fingers, and yells, “F*ck you, Penn State! Hate y’all!” Franklin smiles ear to ear and yells, “That’s right, Cliff! F*ck Penn State!”
Nah, he’s just the latest. With those two losses coming at the hands of top five-ranked teams?

Sean is loved by the majority of Penn State alumni and fans.......With those two losses coming at the hands of top five-ranked teams?

In all my years I've never seen nor heard a PSU fan express anti player nonsense in person like we read here. I think its an internet twitter/message board phenomenon that gives morons the opportunity to mingle with misanthropes.Sean is loved by the majority of Penn State alumni and fans.......
Persons as yourself are not....this tread has the most disturbing title by a "Penn State" fan
