One issue I have with keeping Alabama out is that this gives Michigan too easy a road. FSU “should” get in over Alabama but Michigan winning it all, I’m not sure I could live with that.
I honestly would have put FSU third anyway with Texas fourth. Undefeated teams before any one loss ones.

Yep. Stop all this stupid horseshit about eye tests and the rest of it. You win your conference, you’re in. The regular season is the start of the playoffs. You do well enough there you qualify for your conference championship game. You win that, you’re into the national championship playoffs.
The "eye test" argument is just another way of saying "I think that team is better than that one because I feel like it's true, but I can't really explain why."

Exactly. “This team’s uniform say Alabama and that team’s uniform says Missouri. I pick this team.”

One team proved they could get though 13 games without losing; the other did not. I know which one passes the most important “eye test” - what I see when I look at the scoreboard.

And there’s no way TCU would beat Michigan either.
It could be argued - in a twisted Todd Richard Branch type fashion - that TCU had an advantage over SCum because they knew they were cheating and how they did it, and countered w/ false and fake signs confusing the SCum defense.

SCum probably didn't know whether to **** or wind their watch.
