Is there some reason is to actually have referees at this ball game tonight at Vanderbilt?

I love Jans as a coach and he is going to keep us competitive but the offensive philosophy is not his best attribute. Maybe that's due to the players we have?
I really hate the years we have to play Vanderbilt in this gymnasium so many bad memories... we're just gonna add one more. I hate this place. No matter which guys they sent out on the floor. They can always shoot a three point shot from anywhere in the gymnasium and make it. I wish somebody would slap Jerry Stackhouse in the face.
It’s 100% the players we have. We only have 2 players on the whole damn roster who can score.
This is the stat that made a difference in the ball game tonight other than the funny way of when they decided to take their sweet time on calling fouls tonight. There is still some time left, but I think it makes the point.

ETA - Anyone who is absurd enough to think that this loss is coaching, after Jan's has brought this team this far from from where we started in league play, doesn't know a damn thing about basketball. Remember, he did this without a point guard. let that sink in

My guess is if we lose our first round sec tourney game and Vandy wins 2 they’ll get in the dance over us. Our slow a$$ start doomed us tonight.

Man screw it. Senior night and they played the game of the season and still almost lost. Weak seeing you guys here give up so easily and it coming down to the last shot. We needed to make 4 more free throws.

They did not take our spot. They are nowhere near the bubble. If they make a run to the SEC tourney final, maybe. But their NET ranking is in the 80s.
Probably have to win at least one, maybe two, in the SEC tournament to get in. Vandy is 11-7 in conference compared to 8-10.
We outrebounded Vandy 45-24 including 23-8 in offensive rebounds and still lost. Difference was they made 12-25 from three and we were our typical 4-17.
Vandy is not in! Conference record means nothing to the selection committee. They lost to VCU, Southern Miss and Grambling in the non conference. Unless they make a run to the SEC Tourney final, they are not close to being in.
Turnovers in the first half cost us the game. Shouldn’t have been in that hole. And free throws. Damn. That was a step back to the start of the SEC season.
Once we realize we can drive and dish to Tolu, we win that one by 6. We can't make 3s with any consistency and no one could stop Tolu but he didn't touch the ball in the last 2 minutes.

Matthews did not even touch the Vandy player when he went out of bounds. Plus he walked. I want to punch a SEC ref
The story remains simple and the same.
If we could shoot a little better, our record and tourney prospects would be a lot better.

AND WHY THE HELL ISN'T DAVIS SHOOTING 3s. We have to watch DJ and Moore miss all game. Hell if I'm playing us I let them shoot 3s all damn game.
It’s really amazing we have won 20 games with a bunch of players who can’t shoot. We are in the bottom 20 teams in the country in three point shooting percentage.
Not exactly how it played out, hoss. . . . . and for those of you who are so amazed at Vandy's shooting prowess from 3-point range, it's what they've ALWAYS done. And especially on their own floor. They ALWAYS have great outside shooters and are just usually unconscious in that antique of a gym. Just what they do. AND, the officials whistles always go silent at the opponents end of the floor. Just like life, death, and taxes - you can expect great outside shooting and a bad deal from the zebras on Vandy's home floor.
When was the last time we beat them up there? Seriously I don't remember. All I remember is three pointers everywhere... Every time we show up. 36 points from the three-point line is really nuts. It doesn't matter if we defended them or not they would just shoot it from the timeline and make it.
But we get bad calls no matter where we go and even at home games.
It was total BS that we got left out of the tournament in 2010. I’m still mad about that.
