Is this the most chalky March Madness since expansion to 64 teams?

Elite Eight: four 1-seeds, three 2-seeds, and one 3-seed

Will this be the new norm with NIL and the transfer portal? All the best players making their way to the rosters of 10-12 teams?

The top seeds not in the Elite Eight: St. John’s, Iowa State, Wisconsin, Kentucky

There is a pretty big gap between the Elite Eight teams and those teams imo.

It's probably why there were very few mid majors to move on. Lot of top performing mid major players still playing in the tournament they've just traded their jerseys in for upgrades.

Maybe when people see how predictable this will make the ncaa tournament going forward they'll wake up and do something about that ridiculous transfer portal with immediate eligibility. Immediate eligibility has done way more to shift the advantage away from the have nots to the haves and when you combine it with NIL....well....it's never been better to be a blue blood or worse if you're not one. It's only going to get worse and the gap will continue to grow.

2025 - the year when 'chalk' is used on SPS more than the previous 10 years combined.

...and yeah, it's been a pretty straight forward tournament overall.

Only one similar I can think of is 2008 when the Final Four was all one seeds. That was the year Kansas beat Memphis in the title game.

But the story up until that point was Steph Curry and Davidson making the Elite 8 as a 10 seed. So it wasn’t entirely chalky.

Get used to it. The money is just so much these days if you don’t have a lot of it, you’re screwed.
