Guys that want to be head coaches take head coaching jobs when they get the chance. Guys that avoid it all their careers when given those chances, don’t really want it (because they don’t believe in themselves).

he took the money grab, and I don’t blame him whatsoever. But dude was never meant to be a head coach.

Well, I certainly hope Venables does _just_ enough at Oklahoma to keep his job for a while. I'd rather avoid the possibility that Dabo would get him back on staff at Tatertown.

He's supposed to be a defensive genius(much like he who shall not be named)but Texas made Ok look like a HS team.

I guess it has to be defined by what exactly "The Hot Seat" would mean and to what degrees.
Are the OU fans disgruntled, assuredly yes.
Is he anywhere close to being fired, then the answer would be no.

Yes, their most recent two losses are about as bad as any two games in a row we've ever seen in Columbia and you know how we feel when we're truly sucking. Think of how much more they are entitled to be p!$$ed off with ineptitude than we are. This ain't supposed to happen to them.

At that program- his seat is heating up after that type of loss. That fan base as a collective bunch isn’t going to tolerate that.

Not a fan of his but a bus load of players transferred out of there when Riley left including the star qb who is now starring for Southern Cal.
