If they ever add that **** rule where a team can have the ball out of bounds uncover their basket, call timeout, and get to the inbound the ball fro the sideline on their side of the court, well I may just stab a cat.
That has to be the worst rule in al of sports. I don't even understand how curling works and I know it's rules are all better. Figure skating is constantly rigged, and it's rules aren't as bad as that NBA rule.

24 seconds is plenty. The 35 second clock is almost unbearable. The "shack" rule of the NBA is probably not needed in college.

how did college basketball ever make it for 120 years without this semi-circle? they need to at least make the men's and women's 3 point line the same so it doesn't look like a damn volleyball court out there.

3 changes i would like to see:

1. change the shot clock to 30 seconds. 35 is too long, but 24 is a little too quick for college.
2. cut at least one timeout per team. the end of college hoops games are almost unbearable.
3. 6 fouls to foul out. marquee players are too sparse to have them sitting on the bench. this will also take a little power away from the officials.

Just say no to the jump ball. the official can make a bad toss + why reward the taller player?

No it doesn't. It prevents garbage charging calls when a player is standing under the basket. Kentucky players used that charge call more than anyone.

It moves the game faster than jumping the ball and the defense is always rewarded for getting the tie up, either by getting the ball or switching the arrow to its side. I'd like to see three shots after a team hits fifteen fouls in a half, only because I've seen games destroyed by teams foulng to try to get back in it. The worst example of this I remember from our team is a tv game vs. Oklahoma about ten years ago. We did win, but it was the most boring second half ever.

I think the 45 shot clock is perfect for college. Faster does add some excitement but I like a lttle chess game in college sports. Of course, we've seen our own team delay itself to losses a few times, but those calcluations are interesting to me. What I'd really like to see is a dedication to calling every foul regardless of the clock or situation. So many times, more athletic teams get advantage by fouling in scrums when it normally isn't called. What I hate more than anything is to see officiating decide a game.

The rule is already there preventing you from taking a charge under the goal isn't it? This just defines the "under the goal" area for the officials making the call. I just can't understand anyone being against a line on the floor. Who in the hell wants to see these idiots flopping around under the basket for an entire game?

Alternate possession in college ball isnt great, I agree. Giving those involved an equal shot at getting the ball like the NBA does, seems better. But at the same time, it isn't the worst rule for college ball to me. It isn't great, but hardly terrible.

As for your rant against the arc in the paint, what on earth are you talking about? This doesn't limit a defense's ability to defend the hoop at all. IT IS ALREADY IN PLACE!!! The rule already exists! They are now just making it For all to see, which is how it should have been in the first place.
The most controversial call in basketball is the charge/block foul call. That is easily the most controversial call. You can have 3 people watch the play and come to 3 different conclusions. One will swear it's a charge, one will swear it's a block, and the other will declare it should be a no call and to play on. This way, there will be no decision making in the most extreme situation- under the basket plays.
