I've never been more pleased to win 2 out of 3 vs. an unranked team in the first week of April.

Not many people who actually care, have. That's why capitalism took over and we are where we are.

There's a reason so many in the development space, and MLB, see this as a problem man. It's not just a mUh GoAt deal.
Again never argued it shouldn’t be changed, but saying travel ball for the sake of the game is probably better than the model we had when most of us were playing.

and like you said when people get tired of it it will change. It’s not changing at the Lower levels but the older ages are starting to thin out. So changes may happen in due time

It no doubt is better development than we had before, simply because it's more baseball period. That should equal more development. But when it comes at the expense of athleticism, I get a little suspicious of the motives. It starts getting to be about winning useless rings, rather than developing.

Young kids will still be pushed into it by parents, just like soccer, anything else. But kids are quitting it earlier and earlier for other things. And the trends generally are, when they quit, they are plumb sick of it, and don't even watch anymore. That's not good for overall baseball fandom.

Why do you commies hate American capitalism? It has indeed made baseball better and that's a cold hard fact. Granted the best South American and Japanese players are still better but that's because the MLB helped establish their development systems without school districts and local parks and rec groups trying to get a slice of the pie.

This is free market baseball. If you're kid is good enough, you can always get some help getting on the right travel ball team.

Talent, drive, and the free market. your local high school benefits with a better ball club as well.
