Why? He might have been our fourth or fifth best WR. Losing Stogner is much worse.
Stogner spent as much if not more time rehabbing than playing. Bell was our most versatile performer. Bell defined the best portion of our season. Bell and Joyner were limited ONLY by our disuse - and misuse - of them.
Disagree. Stogner is pretty slow. Adkins turned out to be much better and more versatile. Losing Bell is a double hit. Great player and a reputational hit. He was a fairly vocal proponent of our program early on.
Bell was our most gifted athlete. Managing the ego of an elite athlete is part of the game in sports at any level. We handled this whole situation poorly. That said I wish the kid nothing but the best. I hope he catches 6 TDs when they play our upstate rivals. Time to close this chapter and move forward.
