Just one point about Leach and Arnett…

Some in their never-ending quest to denigrate our head coach like to give Arnett all the credit at Leach’s expense.

Well, Arnett is a west coast guy who would in no way be here if not for Leach, his connections, and his reputation.

Leach gets out of his way and lets him do his job in a way many head coaches don’t.

Arnett was just an excellent find by Leach, who is of course responsible for the entire team and not just the offense.

Seems like Leach let's Arnett run the show on D. Why would he leave? No blue blood is going to play his style of defense. If he leaves for a HC job it would be a big to moderate step down compared to a SEC DC with almost total control. Need to money whip him and keep him on board.

Great post Faust. Leach said he went looking for a 3-3-5 j l Dunn coach to compliment his offense And fit MSU. You’re darn right he’s responsible. It’s called building a program and he’s very good at it

I’ll wait for the highly emotional purse swinging podcaster to denigrate leach on the next T&L episode

Oh Robbie will be negative for sure. He’s another miserable Mitch like half our fanbase. 15-9 last 2 years. How many times in our history have we done that? I’ll wait but it is not many in our 100 plus history.

Other than Kentucky we lost to

#1 UGA
#5 @ LSU
#7 @ Bama

let that sink in you idiots!!!

The reason people are upset is because of the second half at LSU all four quarters against Alabama, all four quarters against Georgia and all four quarters against Kentucky.

And last night we should have handed the ball off three times and kick the field goal. Worst case.

Not many people were upset about UGA. We played ok. Refs killed us and eventually UGA but it was no big deal. AL was not good this year. Look at all the points they gave up. And we couldn't score. LSU snowballed. Dropped passes and punts and defense wore out.
The only concerns for anyone has been the offense and special teams.Offense was god awful again last night. Special teams, we figured out to stop the stupid *** Aussie kicking. Took all damn year and Mele needs to go. He put Williams back at LSU after Thomas had done fine and that cost us too. Flip flopped on kickers and screwed up the long kicking. We need to make a couple staff changes starting there. The goal is to improve the weak links. Rogers at QB and Mele are two obvious weak links.

Leach hired Arnett and has kept him for 3 years. He gets credit.

Leach has built a nice staff in general. The special teams has improved despite some lingering struggles. The receivers are as good a group as we’ve had in my adult life. The OL has played fairly well and have improved as a unit despite losing a first rounder. Leach is putting together a competent program that is growing and improving.

This year marks another year of improvement. That’s all you can ask for.

That's the issue for 95% of the people who are upset. Win that game (which we should have) and the sentiment is 100% different on this season. We'd be 9-3 with no bad losses. Not saying it's rational but it's definitely understandable.
And that’s just stupid.

Must have been you I’m talking about.

But yes, that nonsense was going on even after we won the game.

The narrative that people are mad about losing to UK is incorrect. Why were people mad last night? The same reason they’ve been mad all season. Leach the offensive guru continues to struggle to get the ball moved in the SEC and Rogers doesn’t help that. Every game after A&M has been ugly. Points shouldn’t be this hard to come by.

Yet Leach was beaten 7 ranked teams in 36 games where it took Mullen 106 to accomplish the same task.

We are moving forward and getting better.

Exactly. Even nearly halfway into last season people were using the excuse that Rogers was “basically a freshman”. Well now he’s got over 30 games as a starter and is touted every week as an SEC career chart leader.

with all that experience and accolades you CANT continue to play this badly. Something has got to change or Leach WILL lose whatever goodwill he has left.

I have literally said that the season was a book that I haven’t gotten to the end of so I wasn’t judging yet. I am very excited about the win and am glad that my concerns about this season were unfounded. 8-4 is a helluva year this year. Leach gets kudos in my book.
