I’m backing Beamer over the next 2 seasons. Hoping he can get it done, but definitely some odd things have happened since he was named our coach. The landscape of college football also completely changed in the past 3 years which is a lot for him to take on. Not making excuses and I don’t think he is either. Not huge expectations next season as the schedule is ridiculous and we lost some impact players. But we need to be better and upset someone to gain some momentum heading into the following season. Then we have to turn the corner.

So, that’s where I’m at for the next two seasons under Beamer. Not sure what to expect, but going to back the guy. If he doesn’t get it done by then, my support or lack of won’t matter. He won’t survive.

I was asked two weekends ago by an Aggie friend of mine how long I thought Beamer had to solidify himself. I told him next season and the one after is as long as he can go if he doesn't decisively turn the program upward.

Agree. If this year is a step back I can see a change being made. And it would be hard to argue against a change at that point.

If this season is a step back, there's little chance the one after can get him to where he needs to get.

This is the second coach from this area that has elected to leave this program. I‘m a little surprised by Stepp but I was shocked to see Kimery leave his “Dream Job” to go back to high school ranks. This dude knows how to coach football and for him to take off like that says to me he wasn’t 100% bought in to what Beamer was or is doing. This dude was coaching in the SEC and would have opened many doors for him down the road. Has anyone noticed that the D1 dudes he has at Baylor none (that I’m aware of) have even mentioned Carolina as a possibility.
I know Eric very well and spoke with him personally.. .despite some of the crazy takes on this thread, he left because that was in fact a great job for him and his family in TN. He was 100% bought in with Beamer and still is. The assumptions on here are insane lol.

It’s all an effort to discredit Beamer. Nothing to do with Kimrey.

Do you mean DC and Head Coach?
OL and DC. I was a White guy season 1. Defended him season 2. Lack of depth may play a role in some of the issues, but we seemed to lose physicality and want to this year.

OL has been a train wreck for years. Can’t figure out how we can be thus inconsistent for this long.

When someone says, “this is my DREAM Job” and after one year takes a freaking HS job to leave his “DREAM Job” what are people to think.?

Coach White from time to time shows that he can be good but this upcoming season he can not wait until November to shine. This running off Coach Stepp to Illinois is outrageous. Coach Tanner needs to text Coach Beamer and ask him what the hell is going on.

Not sure next year is a year I'd count on to hang my hat on, sure, that's why you play the games, but next year could be very difficult to say the least.
