And so it starts. At least he has the guts to admit what he's doing, unlike Juice.

Saw this on Twitter but couldn't tell if it was confirmed.

At least he wasn't much of a contributor.

Beamer said in his presser when Kamara came to see him about redshirting he told him that's not quite how it works. Said he expressed his vision was to see Kamara continuing to play increased reps after playing a season high in snaps against Ole Miss. But Kamara just quit.

If that's the case, I hope every bit of his access to the weightroom, treatment room, nutritionist - ALL OF IT, is eliminated.

Right. Not because we're mad at him or lashing out, but because it's just a normal business move. If you tell your employer that you plan to leave the company in December and seek a job at one of the company's competitors, they will politely escort you out the door that day.

Honor his scholarship and let him stay enrolled at school, just like any other student, but to the extent that he had access to any football-specific facilities, that has to end on the spot. There's no room in the program for anyone who's no longer committed to it.

He received an athletic scholarship which suggests he is expected to contribute to a sports team. If he quit, his scholarship should be suspended.

Surely he will not have a scholarship after Fall semester ends.

I hope they took away his access to football facilities after Juice's antics. I think they should retroactively/ prorate tuition charges from the moment he left the team so that he is responsible for paying for the rest of the semester if he was on scholarship.

Well, he should not have one the moment he quits the team. I would assume that's how it works.
I'm sure all his fees are paid at the beginning of the semester. That is how it generally works for all students. When fees are due for the Spring semester I would assume the scholarship would not be there.

I agree to prorate the scholarship. If he can’t afford it then stop going to class. Just get out, go away, go home. Leave! Make him an example for anyone else thinking about doing this.

But he should not be allowed the benefits. Kick him out of dorms and can't go to class. No more meals.

I agree but it really doesn't work that way. If a kid on an academic scholarship decides college isn't for him and he quits going to class and studying they don't cut off his meal plan and kick him out of the dorm.

I do agree that he should have zero access to anything related to the football program. HS players who quit the team don't get access to the locker room, training facilities, practices, etc., he shouldn't either. He should be nothing more than a regular student until December. If he wants to go to a game, he should have to buy a ticket.
