I felt like Davis just let that run happen. He was so emotionless on the sideline those first 5-6 minutes in the second half. If I’m a UNC fan, I’m not happy with the way he coached in that moment. Took him forever to call a timeout. By then the damage was done.
I'll try to take some heat off of Glov. I don't post much, even though I'm here every day. Big Tar Heel fan. Kansas just a better team. Hats off to them. Proud to be a Tar Heel fan. Fantastic run. Totally unexpected. Great tournament to watch. Now, time to get ready for the Blue-White game.
Had the boys pick brackets for a school football fundraiser … one kid’s entry was in first place heading into this game. UNC wins and he stays there and we get the grand prize. Kansas wins and we’re out of the money entirely. So I actually had to root for UNC, which is awful enough. And then they get our hopes up, but blow a 15 pt halftime lead. We will continue to root against UNC in perpetuity in this household.
Duke loses in semifinals. North Carolina loses in finals. It's been a great 3 days.
He's getting $2.9+ million a year to screw that up.
Kind of tongue-in-cheek, but throughout the history of Carolina basketball, head coaches have been slow to call timeouts.

As for you moderator comment, I had no influence on who was deemed unworthy prior as you put it since it was Tom's board back then.
The new staff is doing a great job on the old board as is the staff on this board.

I copied the game via a replay on CBSSN and when I sat down to watch it this morning, not knowing who won, the ticker at the bottom of the screen gave away the final score. Lovely.Great waking up this morning and seeing that not only did unc lose, they did so after having a big lead.
The old board is now essentially a political board in that almost all the posts are political, mostly posted to the Cesspoo-, er, I mean Test Board. For example, it didn’t even have a thread on the NCAA final last night. The longest thread on the “sports“ board debates covid vaccines. I know it’s not football season but there are other sports, both PSU and not PSU. It’s not a sports board any longer and there are very long spells (I mean many hours) when nothing at all sports-related gets posted. Thank goodness for this board where politics is banned, despite the efforts of a very few to drag it down into the gutter.

Yea, it was a GREAT game.
People thought I waws upset when UNC lost to Villanova a couple of years ago but I was not.
Villanova & jay Wright deserved the victory.
Same with Kansas this year.
Was I disappointed? Sure i was but UNC lost to a great team as well.
