Yeah that’s what I was thinking too. He says in there something to effect of not wasting timeouts.Sounds like Kiffin is admitting to faking injuries.
No. The difference is the fraudulent injury to gain the advantage. Now if Kiffen had players intentionally punch each other in the kidneys to create an injury and slow down play, that would be more equivalent.
Well, you can't charge a team with a timeout every time someone goes down with an injury. I do like the idea of making someone sit out for the remainder of the series, though.Yeah that’s what I was thinking too. He says in there something to effect of not wasting timeouts.
To me, that is the answer to all of this. Just charge the team with a timeout. If they are out of timeouts then a 15 yard penalty.
As much as I dislike the bush league **** that he does, if I coached against Kiffin, I’d have a defensive player go down after every first down OM had.
What Kiffin did was making his players lie about something serious. Playing 12 players is akin to a delay of game.
Yeah…. I meant when it’s obvious than injury is faked. It’s obviously going to require a judgement call on the refs part, which is why I’m sure nothing will ever be done. No one wants to make that judgement callWell, you can't charge a team with a timeout every time someone goes down with an injury. Kiffen just wants a rule named after him.
It wasn't a guarantee. OSU could have thrown one deep on a free play and gotten a bunch of yards or pass interference.Cliff Notes: Late Ohio State drive and Oregon put 12 men in on defense to run time off the clock, since the penalty is not a dead ball penalty and is only 5 yards.
