Was anyone on here a Donnie apologist? I think that was the one topic we all agreed upon?
I may have defended him for awhile, but only because I thought Satterfield's neurotic offense didn't allow some decent players (4-star recruits) to have an identity.

Funny a so called Husker fan has to feel the need for anyone to kiss his/her/them ***. Someone needs a pat on the head a pat on the back. Someone’s feelings are for fragile today

I thought Donnie improved the line last year other than that he wasn’t good, Kong is really excited his wife better be prepared to service him and instead of the usual two minutes it will be done in 90 seconds

I was pretty neutral. I pointed out things that were out of his control and admitted that I’m not qualified to judge an O line coach’s performance. I will be very surprised if there’s some miraculous improvement in our O line next year unless we can land a stud OT in the portal and keep Pritchett. We got 2 guys last year but probably needed 3 like Oregon paid.

We still have a hole in our junior class created by Frost’s lame duck year, Rhule’s late start his first year and Donovan not knowing if he was being retained. Here’s to hoping Geep is the dude. IF Dylan comes back, he can’t be holding the ball for over 4 seconds on average. It’s one thing if you’re a Run threat, but he’s not.

Donnie’s biggest problem was Donnie.

Playing kids like Gunnar over Elijah because Gunnar “did everything they asked from him” expect he just wasn’t as talented. Many of us saw that early. It was embarrassing. Talent trumps “hard work” a lot of the times in sports. Maybe it’s not fair. Life isn’t fair.

Will be interesting to see if we see someone like Brix or Taumua step up next year and end up being very good.

Pritchett had multiple false starts early in the year two of which happened in the redzone likely costing us points. He got markedly better as the season progressed.

I will give him one piece of credit. Our OL always sucked and often had a meltdown game or 2. However it very very very very slowed improved to go from f- to d- then everyone would say look it improved. The. We would regress back to f-

The line was trash from day one and never improved in any meaningful way.

Any so-called improvements made are purely academic and completely unnoticeable within the context of actually competing in this league.

Pritchett stopped jumping early all the time at the worst possible moments. Dope. Soooooo good.

X/Twitter is full of low information folk all pissed off about it... nauseating really...

I give a lot of Grace to coaches considering the dumpster fire this place has been, the OL However is an area that literally the entire country could see was and has been a problem for years... Zero development and a waste of talented players. Those kids and this University deserved better!

How do you know how Donnie coached? I bet he uses many of the same drill and techniques as other established coaches. And as usual, Nebraska is not a favored destination for out of states recruits. It's been 28 years since we won a National Championship.

Now we know more about Dana and Rhule. I bet Dana doesn't have a innovative pass tree for his receivers. The same guys who blocked their asses off this year surely are running their pass route as drawn up. Too many times, the QB have had to resort to dangerous close coverage passes. And so often, I have seen multiple receivers in one area.

Then is Rhule. The man could be a great CEO. But he is horrible at truly understanding x's and o's. Just as bad is his game management. Last year for example was the IOWA losses. Late in the game, he should have run down the clock. There was no way with that offensive line and a freshman QB,
they were going to even try for a FG. Rhule was afraid and desperate.

Perhaps worst of all, he has likely driven off the best QB they have ever had. Sorry TJ, but you play like a small QB.

Let em rip boys.

True but at least false starts were just a few. Gunnar getting beat like he owed people money happened more than a couple of times and cost us more than 5 yards and could cost us points too. Better protection, you never know what happens on those plays or drives.

Gunnar should have never been in there. never. Especially if he was hurt. That’s not smart to play someone who’s hurt and shouldn’t be playing.

Are you going to tell me 77 was better than 57?

You can pretend you weren’t one of the biggest fans of Uncle Donnie but we aren’t dumb. You don’t have a lot of credit when it comes to integrity.
