all he can do is sue for losses/damages under breach of contract. Im sure his contract has a termination clause in it, so he will need to prove his termination was unjust.

after a bad break up like this one so he would be suing for the remainder of his contract. Since Leach had a contract, the terms of the contract should govern whether his termination was justified or is a breach of the contract. My guess is that the contract provisions will not be explicit enough to clearly govern this situation so the parties will have to reach a negotiated settlement or proceed to court. Look for this thing to settle within the next few weeks as TT needs to know what they have to pay Leach in order to negotiate a new hc contract w/ the next guy.

I'm a business litigation attorney in Birmingham. Any action by the employee will have to be based on breach of contract by the employer. My guess is that the Tech attorneys are confident that the employment contract protects their client just as it was designed to do when executed. Most certainly there is no "if you lock a player in the shed" provision, however, there are standards of conduct provisions in all high executive agreements and the employer will exercise that option as justification for the termination of employment. Other than seeking a remedy for breach I doubt that there's anything actionable.
