Let’s face it. If we had a coach who ran a conventional offense, and had the exact same results, there wouldn’t be such negativity.

Leach runs a sissy passing offense, and we Mississippi folks like manly football. That’s one reason why fans love Jackie Sherrill so much, even though he lost many games to lesser teams and had nearly as many losing records as winning ones. He played a physical style of football and won some games with it. That is the only style of football many MSU fans will accept.

I wouldn’t have a problem with passing it 80-85% of the time. Just let 10-20% of those passes be beyond 15 yards. And a qb/coach that will run it for 5-10 yards if nothing is there.

Fact… that and if Lane didn’t have OM looking good right now. If OM had the same record as us and was not ranked, we’d be much more content.

If we had a coach who didn't run a boring and unsuccessful offense, it wouldn't be as big a deal.
The offense is producing less than 21 points per game in the SEC this year. A year where our division is really down. A two loss team won the division.

Leach addressed that durin his press conference. Stating Rogers became more effective after pushing it more down field.

A QB that can run is on his way.

I sat through the tenner game in 89? When rockey thought the best game plan was to hand the ball off. 0 passes in the first half. They didn't even try one and got sacked. It was straight dives, fb/hb.

Oh the days of glory. We miss it so much.

It's always going to be the same. People are going to get blown like tress in the wind. It's called being Fickle, changing frequently, especially as regards one's loyalties, interests, or affection.

Leach wants to operate as a general, but in the SEC the head coach has to be a politician too. There’s been no attempt to motivate the fan base or anyone else following the program. That’s why many aren’t content with the record. We need someone to believe in, and so do recruits. In the age of NIL and streaming, a program can’t afford for the coach to be boring.

Lotta truth here. We went from low floor/low ceiling to low floor/high ceiling so people get pissed when the offense doesn’t perform. Somehow they forget, or weren’t alive for, all the years that completing a pass with any accuracy was pretty infrequent and if you weren’t 3rd and 3 or closer there was no hope. you might as well punt if you got behind on downs.

I genuinely don’t care at all about the type of offense that a coach brings to this team. What I do care about is that we have a coach(like Arnett) that can actually mix things up when things flat out aren’t working.

We saw this with Moorhead, and it’s deja vu with Leach where we’ve got a coach that enters a game with a generic plan, said plan fails, and all we get to see is dumbfounded bewilderment any time ESPN catches him on camera. There are no adjustments, no Plan B, no tailoring a game plan to the opponent we’re facing. We keep finding guys that would rather lose their way than join us in the 21st century

BS, if Ole Miss is successful and we are not the same whining and bellyaching would be going on right now. We moved the ball but didn't score touchdowns. We played against the best defense in the country and played better than Tennessee.

We did play better than tennessee

if the officials don’t 17 us, its a fairly close game, 17-12 at the half, probably 38-30 range, but there was about 14 points there we were 17ed out of

how many nfl first rounders are on their d line 3-4 ?
