Haven’t seen him much except for Georgia which has a terrific defense of course. Don’t recall seeing him throw a pass more than 10 yards. Meh
Of course. The PSU coaching staff always give the job to the inferior player, especially at QB. Levis had 3 years to prove he was better than Clifford and didn’t because he isn’t. The only game I saw Levis play was against Georgia which of course has an outstanding defense. Levis didn’t throw a pass more than 10 yards while I watched. Nothing but quick passes to a WR at the line of scrimmage, traditional screen passes, swing passes to the backs and an occasional short pass to a TE over the middle. Maybe you find that exciting but it reminded me of watching paint dry.
But I mean seriously, he really is. Just way more athletic, a better runner, and a much stronger arm than Clifford. You can only wonder how much he would have flourished in MY’s offense. Instead we are stuck with a “gamer” in SC (code word for limited) with a pretty low ceiling. PSU probably let the wrong guy leave.
that is my opinion on this also. Levis has much stronger arm, and about the same accuracy. In a direct run, he will get the short yds that SC will not get. the reason SC is a better QB is he handles the breakdowns and fast decisions far better than Levis. At PSU, that is a core skill. This is why Trace beat out Tommie. Tommie had all the same advantages over Trace, but could not handle the QB processing as well. Since our QBs do not stand in the pocket easily for long periods of time (see CJ Stroud), we need the QB who can improvise on the fly. We need the Kyler Murray type of player, who can kill with legs and arm. the worst fit we have had to date was Hack. also whenever our QB has gotten hurt, you can see the results (Trace and Sean).
From what I have seen, he tends to throw late and high over the middle on intermediate passes which also leads to the INTs. The games I've watched, he does well with short passes, but much less so when they try to stretch the field.

He's a C- QB. At best. Not sure what you are watching.
