is being played tonight in Oxford. I'm assuming it's on SEC+ because I don't see it listed on SEC Network.

I'm hoping we beat them like a rented mule.

Hail State.

It’s Friday night. And it could get ugly. UM is worst team in the conference.

It’s the trophy for the annual soccer game between Mississippi State and Ole Miss. It’s being played this Friday.

Yes, I know, I know. You’d rather eat clay and sнit actual bricks than watch women’s soccer.
What little I have gotten to watch this year I have enjoyed. We are a very well coached and skilled team. We have come a long way in the last few years. It wasn't too long ago that Ole Miss was one of the better SEC teams and we were one of the bottom dwellers

Yeah, this is easily the best team we've ever had. I've tried to temper my expectations, but this team is legit.

This team has some of the same qualities the women's basketball Final Four teams had. Lot of talent, lot of charisma, close-knit group, lot of experience, play hard, and a very good coach. And they're easy on the eyes. They have the ability to draw in fans who could care less about their sport in general. Now, will they match, or even better, the achievements of that group remains to be seen. But it's a fun ride watching them try.

Soccer is different....and better in ways. At no point are you told "ring responsibly".

I went to a friendly between boca Juniors and one of the Mexican clubs. Standing and yelling/singing/chanting all game long. It was wild. Mexico v. US in San Antonio was over the top insane.

Correct! The SEC actually allows almost all artificial noisemakers in Soccer.

Artificial Noisemakers. Artificial noisemakers are permitted in soccer venues with the exception of whistles, air horns, and electric amplifiers. However, the home institution has the right to limit or prohibit artificial noisemakers from being brought in to soccer venues. The referee, in cooperation with home event management, shall be responsible for ensuring artificial noisemakers do not interfere with administration of the contest and follow NCAA soccer playing rules. At no time shall artificial noisemakers be located directly behind the goal or in the quadrant of the field adjacent to the visiting team’s bench.

I was curious about other school's policy towards soccer noisemakers was and, as expected, Ole Miss bans all artificial noisemakers and specifically mentions cowbells. :ROFLMAO:

I'm not a fan of women's soccer but I have watched them a couple of times. You can tell they are talented and very well coached.
