Poor Mike, must have some gambling debts he needs to settle. He turned $275 million into $3 billion in only 13 years, not including selling a "significant minority stake" of it in 2020.

To be fair, when I posted it, the $3 billion number wasn't in the article yet.

Yeah, that's a really good deal for MJ, but how in the hell is a portion of the former Charlotte Bobcats worth $3 Billion?

Future potential plus marquee value

Last year it was valued at $1.7 billion.

If the new owner keeps it for a while, it could be sold for much more.

I just don't see how the NBA has inflated their valuations like this. My understanding from reading this board is that most people stopped watching the NBA when Kevin McHale and Robert Parrish retired.
