Diaz did the DC/LB coach stint with Middle Tennessee, Mississippi State, Texas, Louisiana Tech, MSU again and then Miami (FL) before being promoted to HC at Miami three years ago. Don't know how his schemes and personality would fit Franklin and crew, and whether Diaz would be willing to coach "up North," but his resume certainly indicates he'd be a high quality candidate for a P5 DC position.
