I'm good with that pick. I suggested him a few days ago. He was a good DC if I remember correctly last time. Good enough to get a HC position.
I'm trying to remember any reason I'd be against it and can't. What's your beef with him. If I remember correctly we had the top RedZone defense under him.
In 2012 we ranked 34, 13 we ranked 33 and in his last year 14 we were 23rd. His first year at Florida was 11 and his second year they were 6. He left for HC job. He will do a fine job

Agree as a whole probably not a bad thing. Young head coach carrying play calling duties with an experienced and successful DC who also has a fair amount of HC experience and can lend advice where it might be needed.
I think Collins had already moved on completely prior to that game.
The only thing that stopped Tech that night was when they rolled Little Big Town’s stage on the field before the first half even finished.
Collins didn’t coach that game. He had moved on already. The DB coach was our d coordinator in the Orange Bowl - can’t remember his name off the top of my head - former NFL player.
My one big memory for that game is it’s the only time I’ve ever seen us successfully complete a Hail Mary, and it ended up not mattering whatsoever because of how badly our defense got shredded.

Correct. Collins left after the Egg Bowl that year. He didn't coach the bowl game.
