He had left and supposedly offered to coach through the bowl game and Mullen told him no thanks. I have no clue if that was a credible rumor but if Mullen sent him packing when we needed to prepare for the triple option that was amazing that he let his ego get in the way of winning an orange bowl. Get to play an offense that most people destroy if they have extra time to prepare for it and we don't even give ourselves a chance.
