They've allowed some 5-7 teams in if they run out of bowl slots.

It's hard to justify. I'm the type of fan who watches those lesser bowls though. So for me, I'd watch a 5-7 team rather than no bowl.

I agree with you - sometimes I might watch if the matchup holds some sort of interest. Football is always better than no football. Agreed. I just didn't realize you could make a bowl with only 5 wins. I thought the 6 wins thing was a hard and fast rule. Apparently it's not.

Louisiana Tech is a 5-7 team that has enough players to play and sufficient opportunity to practice. I hope Army boat-races them. They certainly did suck today.
