The decision doesn't make a lot of sense. He won't be their best RB. He won't get more playing time there than here. He won't win a title there.

I guess it makes sense if he wanted to go somewhere he didn't have to be the primary back and play in a less physically demanding conference.

As I recall, we had Tank Bigsby committed. When we got Lloyd, Bigsby flipped to Auburn. I believe it's accurate to say that we got it right the first time with Bigsby.

Yeah, that was a fateful decision. Bigsby has almost 3,000 career rushing yards, compared to Lloyds 801. Almost a full ypc better as well.

I thought Lloyd was the replacement recruit after Bigsby committed to Auburn. And I don't remember Bigsby being a "public" commit just a lot of posters saying he was a silent commit.

Remarkable he thinks enough of himself to put out a transfer video proclaiming his “commitment“ again. That word means a ton these days😀

So good luck finding Oz there Dorothy and we wish you health and happiness.

Curiously, he used our USC logo in announcing his commitment to SoCal.

The Trojanwire article describes him as tough and productive. They also suggest he'll be the hammer and a short yardage beast.

Interesting.
Flipping from Under Armour to needing Body Armour to walk around campus. Needs Pac 12 defenses to help build his stat line. I'm a little jaded with all of it. I like the Portal guys coming in, just don't like them leaving. and because they are now professional athletes, they get the brunt of what we want to give.

Hooray for Hollywood. He'll be a movie star. Snoop Dog and all those hangers on will make him a star. Check your local listings. Coming to a theater near you.

Too bad. I still don't understand the move. He should do well if he can stay healthy. I guess it will be easier to avoid injury in the PAC 12 and he'll be gone by the time they move to the BIG 10. Anyway I feel like Mario Anderson is just as good or slightly better.

Less physically demanding and he won’t be the lead back there.

Pansy conference sound just about right for him.

Harsh thread. Kid is gone. Move forward. No need to look back in this specific case. Is Dak the only remaining Muschamp player?

I don’t view it as harsh. USC invested in Marshawn, and he didn’t produce diddly squat his first 2 seasons. But we stuck by him. He finally shows a pulse im his 3rd season and then bolts for somewhere else. That’s what’s harsh.

Interesting choice in So Cal. Especially since he likely spoke with Rattler about playing for Riley, or one would think so.

Will be interested to see how this works out for him. Won’t be pulling for him, that’s for sure.

I think your second point is spot in. Without Bell he wouldn't make it half the season. He did some good things while he was here. I don't think McDowell could spell him for long. He had 2 big shots that seemed to influence more of an East West type of style. He wasn't the same after that thy shot.

Interesting.
Good for him. The Pac12 plays mediocre defense. He should be able to book some really good stats. The few games I’ve seen they exhibited very poor tackling.
I wish him well and thank him for his 3 yrs in Columbia.

I just saw where SoCal's second leading rusher from this past season has said he's coming back for 2023. Add in their freshman back who is returning. Both have better numbers than Lloyd, so he's stepping into a crowded back field. Here he'd have been the clear RB1. Had to be more going on behind the scenes here. I can't imagine NIL is a major factor. Lloyd hasn't been good enough here to warrant any significant NIL money.
