Nothing more overrated than our defense- especially on ball/ball screen. But going into a Stansbury stall was atrocious.

There are bad losses, and then there’s this one. A home loss to a 1-6 team in which we were 25.5 pt favorites could be one of the worst State basketball losses in my lifetime. Now this is one that could prevent an NCAA tourney bid

Absolutely pathetic

Wow I quit watching up 10. Just got informed by espn app we lost. How terrible. I wish coach would let the ones that can score play more. There goes the 17ing season before it got started.

Nobody on this team is a scorer other than Hubbard and he’s 5’10. Talk about street ballers, this team is the epitome. Not a single shooter in this bunch other than a freshman.

That might’ve been the biggest announcer’s jinx I’ve ever seen. With 4:25 left and us up 59-48, he said something like “A majority of Mississippi State’s losses under Jans have come when they failed to score 60 points. Obviously that’s not going to happen today.” So of course we go scoreless the rest of the game and lose 60-59.

Putting the ball in the basket is very difficult and impossible at times...... except for the other team

Sometimes it can be hard to weed out the bad attitudes of the previous losing cultures. Obviously we still haven’t been able to move away from the past yet.

we needed a fresh start with the new players.

So DJ, Tolu, Cam, or Issac are the problems? Huh? This team is almost entirely new players.

Pretty much. We have 2 forwards and a center that have zero scoring ability in their skill sets and our guards are all under 6 feet. Not to mention Jans archaic offense is almost as bad as Howlands at getting open looks. We are just a lazy dribbling and pathetic passing team that has ****** shooters.

anybody that thinks this team is going to hang with the top half of the SEC is kidding themselves. Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, A&M, and Auburn all can score.

Hard to blame Tolu when he hasn’t played at all this season. We miss his inside presence badly. Jimmy Bell is regressing to the mean.
We should not sacrifice victories just so Tolu can get his points when he comes back.

There has to be a way we can add some diversity other than garbage time in the final seconds.

Hubbard needs to play way more. Cam less. Rams needs to be more involved. Today we just let the zone freeze us and then Just jacked up a 3. Jones, Cam and Shak went 1-10. When we drove we had success. But until we figure out how to guard the ball it’s gonna be tough. Southern missed a lot of good looks today.

Soon as he said I knew we were doomed.

You’re right. without his senior leadership and experience helping his teammates from the bench tonight, we might have lost by double digits.

Why would Cam ever shoot a 3 pointer?

We play some dumb a$$ ball sometimes. Like we don't know even the basics.
