but I can say it should be allowed in a defamation of character suit. It speaks directly to what kind of person Clemens is, which is the heart of the matter here. Clemens is trying to say that his name has been pulled through the mud, but this could prove that he had questionable character to begin with. There's no separation between his professional and person character, it's all the same person, and who he is personally affects his professional decision making, which includes possibly taking performance enhancing drugs.

Bottom line: Clemens should have come out and admitted guilt and asked for forgiveness. This is a very forgiving society if you own up and ask for it.

that Clemens is a great guy or that he is innocent. But from what I have heard on TV and from talks with a lawyer is this-

Why was the suit brought forth? Because McNamee said he took steroids
How does McNamee win the suit? prove Clemens took steroids
How does Clemens win the suit? Hope McNamee cant convince the court he took steroids

Her testimony wont be allowed I was told because she has no knowledge of steroids. It doesnt matter how many times he 17'ed her.
