I wonder sometimes how many of these sorts of signings have to do with upcoming games. In this instance, Trace was with the Patriots for a lot of this season. Guess who the Stillers play this Thursday.
yep- happens too often to be coincidence

Off topic but Steelers related. I've posted before that Tomlin's coaching style doesn't work anymore. Tough defense and kicking field goals to keep the game close is out the window. With the rule changes benefiting the offense, particularly the passing game, you have to take shots and score touchdowns consistently.

That being said, the new owner of the Carolina Panthers is a former Steelers minority owner. When he fired Reich, he said that he'd like to have a HC coach come in and coach for the next 20 years.

Tomlin only has next year left on his contract, so there's not a huge loss to just let him walk and he can keep his current streak of no losing seasons and no playoff wins in Carolina.

Maybe Acrisure won't have so many empty seats when he's gone. Rant over.

I hate to say this, but look on this forum. Look at how much fun the Eagles fans have had the last three years or so. Every week is **** for us. Not even a chance to compete for a title. You see green monkeys jumping around and say "why not us? Why not me?"

I don't even think the Steelers care about winning a title right now.

Seems that way. And it may be a long time before it happens again. Looks like they blew another #1 draft pick, and this time at the most critical position.

That was Colbert's gift to us on his way out the door.

Are we spoiled? Probably. I don't think it was a coincidence that they fired Canada mid season for the first time in 40 years. I think Mike T feels the heat now but he sure isn't coaching like it. They need a fresh start with an offensive minded HC to compliment the studs they have on defense. The last 4 Superbowls featured 8 head coaches head to head that have offensive backgrounds. That's all we need to know moving forward.

Nobody that's been a Steelers fan for the last decade is spoiled. Maybe from a coaching turnover standpoint, but nothing else. The playoff record, of lack thereof, speaks volumes by itself.

You could say, "calm down, their generational QB just retired" but this has been going on for at least the last 6 years.

I am getting into the mindset of just enjoy each week and maybe win a playoff game and spoil someone's season. I can get there. Then **** like last week happens and every BS loss and stupid decision and pathetic comment comes right back into my mind.

Oakland 2018. Cleveland playoffs. Cardinals 2023. The list goes on and on. The Dolphins game I wasted my time and money going to 5 or so years ago (never again, it was one of these games; they thought they were on vacation).

Nailed it. 2018 when the Jags came into Heinz field and put up 45 points on the 13-3 Steelers did it for me. Tomlin collapse at its finest.

That was one of the worst. JAX beats us at home and then in the playoffs at home

Ten years pass and the exact same thing happens again. They took them lightly in the playoffs. That is so infuriating. No playoff wins since then.
