In the fifth inning Petry had a 3-0 count and Missouri's pitcher Mayer hits Petry in which it got slightly heated. I knew along with every South Carolina fans that some what follows the team that when Petry has his next at bat he would hit a home run. Petry batted again in the seventh are sure enough, he hits a two run home run off of Mayer to tie the game four to four. Not sure why even Missouri pitched to him instead of walking him.
Also crucial catch by Brinling in bottom second to avoid a grand slam and really happy with Gainey that he came one out away of pitching four good innings.
I remember the last series that South Carolina played at Missouri it was so bad that Michael Braswell was on the mound for South Carolna. This this weekend the pitching may not been spectacular but enough to win a crucial series against Missouri.
