Skip is your typical sports “journalist”. He doesn’t seem to be the sharpest tool in the shed and clearly his job is to say or do anything to create controversy and ratings. No one takes him seriously.

Seems like Micah is in need of a remedial English class.
I’m sure his actual English skills are more than adequate. It’s just a deliberate choice he’s making here, one which is more ridiculous than simple illiteracy.
Wow Micah.....I guess you dont have anyone teaching you how to be assertive and professional with your public responses.

I just now found this without looking for it, totally unexpectedly. Had never seen it before.
My Dad once told me when someone calls you out, "Don't respond as you want. Respond as you should.....with dignity".
The short version....."Never allow "others" to control your emotions!"
Or the best response is no response....THAT will get the other person mad as to be ignored and recognized as not worthy of a response.
Yes. Well said. In the restaurant industry we teach our gm’s to wait 24 hours to reply to social Media posts or employee outbursts. It takes 24 hours to purge any emotion out of decisions or feedback. It is very hard to do it sometimes.

Not only did Parsons opt out of about half of the possible games in which he could have played at PSU but it looks like he also opted out of all his English classes in high school and college.
Or Never wrestle with a pig. You both get dirty and the pig likes it and Skip is a pig.
Golden words to live by. I try to do that sometimes on this site, especially after tough losses but sometimes I fail.
Two thoughts:
1) If guys like Parsons really want to get back at Skip, they'd ignore him. Nothing is better for Skip than Parsons doing this.
2) I'm much less offended than others by the tone of Micah's response. I think the lack of personalities in sports because everyone is PR and PC'd to death is boring. Let people be who they are, not all just stating the same scripted nothingness we could all draft for them.

There’s such a thing as being a role model. How many kids click Parson’s Twitter feed ten times a day? He doesn’t have to resort to “scripted nothingness,” which is a real thing, check the portal thread on this board, but why not put a little effort towards coherence? 100% other CFB boards are pointing at this Twitter post and saying well, he’s from Penn State, what did you expect?
Yep. It’s not easy to make yourself smaller than Skip Bayless, but somehow he managed.

If we cared what message board and Twitter trolls had to say, we'd have burned our school to the ground a decade ago and made daily repentances. I couldn't possibly care less what the trolls say.
I'm sure your position is the correct one and mine is the type of attitude that's led to the coarsening of our society, but I still just can't myself to be bothered by it. Sure, I'd prefer he chose to speak properly, but I'm not bothered.
I stopped reading or caring about Skip Bayliss when he was a hack reporter for The Dallas Morning News.
A sad reflection of the more recent Penn State players' overall academic performance. There was a time.
I don’t buy Parson’s tweet as being reflective of anything about PSU, or anything other than MP’s wanting to appear hip. He put effort into his tweet and, as I said, it was totally a choice on his part.

Off the top of my head, I’m aware of his having arranged for 1,000 free Thanksgiving turkeys to be given to needy families in the Dallas area, and for selling off custom cleats he designed to benefit Penn State’s children’s hospital.

Then he should be consistent and stop being an a$$ on social media.
