Michigan at OSU, who are you rooting for?

I’m not rooting for either team, but I do find a Michigan win to be more intriguing than a OSU win. You see, it’s expected that OSU beats Michigan, but it can very well go the other way. If Ohio State loses how will donors and alumni handle back-to-back losses? With expectations so high will a loss start a fire coach Day movement? Finally, will another win give Harbaugh and Michigan a significant recruiting edge in the next year or two?

Nope - loser is going to rose bowl. Cfp will be UGA, winner of B10, tcu, usc, or Clemson.
The committee has generally really favored conference champions over non champions with similar records (same number of losses) so it’s interesting to see whether Clemson jumps in over the UM/tOSU loser if they win out. I tend to think they will as that would include a win over UNC (I know they lost today but that would be similar to the B10 team win over us) and a surprisingly stronger looking South Carolina.

Georgia, yes
OSU-Michigan winner, yes
TCU...still has 2 games left
USC...still has 2 games left
Clemson...gosh, let's hope not, but if they win the ACC, they'd at least have that card over a Big Ten team that didn't even make its conference championship game (not that it's mattered in the past).

But, there's still a ton of game left and as today proved, a lot of crazy stuff can still happen. So there's no sense speculating this early.

TCU would probably still make it if they lose to ISU but will the Big 12 championship. The CFP has generally favored teams that win their conference championship game over non championship teams with the same number of losses.

same goes for Clemson if they win out. Though it would be interesting to see what the committee decides if it’s Clemson vs 1 loss tOSU for a spot give the common opponent of Notre Dame.

Tennessee’s loss today handed the committee a big fat present with a red bow. Now, they can take 4 winners out of 5 P5 conference champs without taking a 1 loss non champion. It will be sec, B10, and 2 out of remaining 3 (ACC, B12, or Pac12). This assumes 2 out of the remaining 3 can finish with no more than 1 loss.

TCU can make it easy for the committee if they win their next 2 games. Then, it will come down to whether or not USC and Clemson can win out. If that happens, it will be USC. Otherwise, it will be a 12-1 Clemson.

Cannot root for Michigan, especially after they got all the help they needed from the officials to win that game yesterday to remain unbeaten. The review on the pass that bounced off the turf took so long I have to wonder who exactly made the decision to call it a catch. I'm pulling for tOSU in the game.

I am not. Haven’t in many years. Yard work and then Penn State at 3:30.
This year traveling to Allendale, MI to watch Grand Valley in the D-2 playoffs.
I know you weren’t asking me directly, but thought I’d chime in.

Why grand valley? Have fun.

There's no love lost here for Ahia State, to be sure. But I just watched highlights of Michigan's final drive against Illinois today, to kick a winning field goal with 9 seconds remaining. Until today, I had always discounted that Michigan "Referines" stuff, but I am now a full believer. The refs blew three (3) calls on that final drive to frickin' HAND the game to the Referines. Hairball's smug post game interview was the cherry on the top of that shiat sundae.

I want Ahia State to frickin' BLAST Michigan and its petty, smug, *** of a head coach.
Welcome to the referine bandwagon…glad you finally saw the light. Now the question for next week is, which is more powerful: the referine or THE ahia state zebras?

Personally, I don’t see meatchicken keeping it close…they’ve been firmly in the “pretenders” category all season.

It would be great to see in-fighting amongst the refs next week — those for um versus those for T™️osu.

My son attends there and lives in a duplex with 7 football players.
Starting Q, QB2, RB2 on his side, and 3 defensive starters on other side.
Conference is the GLIAC.
GVSU is ranked #1 in D-2.
Great football and (regular season) no TV timeouts.

Anchor Up!

That’s great fun!

I refer to the team from ColumbASS as ohowihate.
However, watching doowah Desmond at the Heisman trophy show last year moved the needle.
Recall he told Stroud the other finalists on the stage surrounded him better than his offensive line against Michigan.
If (maybe when) ohowihate throttles michigan, they will show doowah Desmond after the game.

I will root for Mich.

I LOVE seeing Stroud pout. The dude is one of the biggest babies in CFB. We had him pouting and whining to the refs for 3.25 quarters. He pouted and whined for 3.75 quarters yesterday.

THEN I get to watch all of the Mich fans and players cry when they get their asses handed to them in the first game of the CFP.

Win win for me!
