What a baby. Let’s review their brutal conference schedule.

Started conference play with 2 games on the west coast against below average teams. 2-0 start. Thanks B1G!

After the 1-month conference break, a road trip to Iowa/Wisconsin with 2 days in between (so they don’t have to travel back and forth), a Saturday home game against an awful Maryland team, and a road trip to Penn St/Ohio St with 2 days in between (so they don’t have to travel back and forth).

Starting with this Purdue game, they have 6 games in a row on the west coast, 5 of them at home. Then two games in the state of Michigan with 2 days in between (so they don’t have to travel back and forth) then 4 of their last 5 games are in Los Angeles.

What more does he want? The B1G bent over backwards to give him a more-than-fair schedule.

Not to mention the fact he’s getting paid millions to coach a game and doesn’t have to get a real job like the rest of us. Grow the **** up. I hate this guy more and more every time he opens his mouth.

He did, that is why I posted again... like seriously dude retire if you don't like it, what did you expect when your school joined a conference with 85% of its members over 1400+ miles away lol.
There's one thing that overshadows his disdain for the schedule. He tends to throw his players under the bus, rather than take accountability for negative game outcomes. Naming particular players publicly in post-games. You don't see Ben doing that. Hell, there are many coaches who don't do it.

Cronin is a good coach but he just doesn’t seem like a good mesh with ucla. Surprised he hasn’t tried to get job back Midwest or somewhere else.

that being said if I was reporter I’d follow up that rant with something I’d ask my kids when complaining about something. Well then how would you schedule it? If you don’t have a solution or better option be quiet. Plus I’m sure he won’t be whining when they hit stretches where they are at home more. More so awful time and place to air his grievances with the schedule , just beat a top 10 team be happy, but instead this viral moment over shadows his teams great win.

Mick is a Cincinnati westsider. That's its own planet. He is such a fish out of water in LA. He loves to always take a position on things that appear to add a chip on the shoulder. He motivates this way. He also has a mouth that would make sailors blush! I've always liked him and had many conversations with him in my Cincy days when he coached the Bearcats. He always said good things about Iowa, and I distinctly remember the first time we chatted right after Alford was hired. He's a quirky dude that is a very solid coach.

MSU student section chanting at sparty transfer Booker....guess Iowa student section has company.
The grace given to student-athletes in the past is now fading away as they are now paid pros.
The nature of that fan- player relationship has changed with mercenary ball.
Need to restrict transferring and immediate eligibility to one move, after that..sit a year.

Agreed, but that won't survive a court challenge without some kind of agreement they all sign when deciding on a school.

It's insane to me they can't come up with some type of language to put in letters of intent. You can't transfer until after year two at a school, and you get one transfer after, or a coaching change special exception transfer. (also update the redshirt year rules to be like football while we're at it)

It shouldn't be the wild west every off season. Every professional free agency has standards.

That would work if all the schools agreed to it in NCAA meetings. NCAA rules have to be approved by member schools you know.

I suspect some or more than some schools down in Dixie would oppose it though.

Yes. Add in some willful ignorance from the NCAA and baby you've got a stew goin.
