I thought I remember his name being mentioned back after Mullen left. Not sure if that was serious or not.

He seemed like a good fit at UF to me. But, maybe he’s just comfortable at OSU. He’s been there, including his playing career, like 30 of the last 35 years. Plus, he was born and played HS an hour outside of Stillwater.

Gundy was having some work done at his home. The worker showed up at his house wearing an Oklahoma shirt. His wife called him and told him that. Gundry went to his house and fired the guy for being stupid enough to wear an OU shirt to his house. I love it myself. The worker sued him and lost. It is in the link below.

Would that we could find someone like him (alum or not) who is happy in Starkvegas and does not use us as a stepping stone. Guys of Gundy's ilk are generational.

Some coaches aren't 100% hired guns. Everyone has a price, but OSU has apparently paid reasonably well. And due to his longevity, he's built them into a program that had a fighting chance at a national championship a few times.
