And they can't do a damn thing about it. They took a step back this year, and we can easily win this game. But I also know how we do stupid crap in Knoxville so I can see us turning it over and making dumb penalties to let them win. We've outplayed UT for 6 of the last 8 quarters we played against them.

They and their fans have been talking up the revenge aspect. I am not sure why. It’s not like we were running at the score or show boating or anything like that. We didn’t do anything to rub their faces in it.

If that is all it took to win a game, more teams would do it, and we would of been undefeated in 2000 and have a much better history, given more good years after bad years
This Tennessee team isn’t nearly as good as last year’s. Still, it’ll be a difficult task in Knoxville.
With TN focused on XL, I can see Harbor making a statement on some deep balls in this game.
We really haven't shown that card yet and may be holding it for a situation like this.
We burst their bubble and ruined a cinderlla season. Tn. was cruising and we not only beat them but beat them bad and it was an embarrassing loss. They want to atone for it.
Or maybe they'll be scared to death. Did anyone think of that?
Spencer is playing way better than last year and the X Man is a beast that cannot be contained. Meanwhile, if they study game tape of the last game they will see that if Mario gets thirty carries there are going to be a lot of Vols in the ice plunge after the game. He is a one-man wrecking crew that in one case took six people to bring him down. The Gamecocks finally have a pass rush of sorts and the offensive line is providing time for Spencer. Tennessee players know (subconsciously) that their team is always over-hyped and that the fans' expectations rarely line up with what they can produce.
The key factor in this upcoming game: Spencer now has confidence in his ability to run the ball. Last year he was timid. This year he's going for the sticks... and beyond.
What no one seems to realize is that his accuracy rolling out to his right is insane. What is otherworldly is that he can roll to his left or sneak out of the pocket to his left and if he can plant his feet he is still deadly. People assume that most qb's can do that but the fact is most "great" quarterbacks throw the bulk of their int's when they're forced to the left.
Spencer is a true phenom. He defies the laws of physics.
Unless they’re planning something dirty (which I wouldn’t put past them) that sophomoric ‘revenge’ stuff lasts about 60 seconds into the first quarter or until you get popped good one time.
