I would have gladly had him back as a back up. But he wasn’t a starting SEC center. Malik Dia was clearly > Nwoko.
So are you saying at times he wasn't? What are the percentages (of good times vs. not so good times) and which side of the scale do they tip to? That might be the reason he is transferring.
He's not a modern big man, one who is a legitimate threat to step out and hit the three with some consistency. His range is apparently dunking. If he could even be more reliable from 8 feet and in we might have something but he consistently leaves shots short from the lane. I do like him and hope he comes back and improves. Oh, and stop fouling so much.
He was really inconsistent. Had some good games this year. I would gladly have him stay as a backup.
I would’ve rather had him again next season than not, but he struggled to find more than 15 minutes on a team that basically had no other option at center, and there’s not a single thing that you could point to that he did well. Mediocre rebounder, couldn’t score, and couldn’t defend without fouling.

I watched both of those games.
Against Georgia he scored the first nine points in the game for us of that ended up being a close win. Besides that I can’t think of any highlights. A dunk here or there.
Can't wait to see the scrubs we bring in this year, AGAIN

… I think the comments on this thread show a downplayed reaction.The man started to come around more offensively down the stretch. He began to create his own shot and make that little one hander in the post. He demonstrated upside and will get paid.
I don’t like the loss, but Jans go ahead and upgrade that position and I’ll forget about it quickly.
We still have Foumena (sp?) and Chol, so at least one of the three was bound to leave this year. I figured it would be one of the non-starters, but okay.

Looks like we will have plenty of open spots to bring new players in. Everybody seems to be jumping ship.
