Was Keyshawn's decision to transfer more related to an NIL related choice, where he's chasing a bigger check, or is it a situation where he wants a chance at a championship?

There isn't a long list of reasons why he would have wanted to transfer, or at least I can't think of any reasons why he would.

You think these guys care about a championship? You think there care about team? 17 no.

Of course not, I know they don't care about the team/university, those days are LONG gone. Emotional attachment for players and schools are part of the "good ole days." I think there are still some who make decisions based off winning, as long as the dollars and cents match up, but you're right most (damn near close to all) don't give a damn about anything other than nil bucks.

I've accepted that the portal is an annual thing, but this somehow feels different.

At least with pro sports you know when the guy's contract is up.

As a purist who only loves the sport because of the athletic abilities of the individual, I guess I’m now an Auburn fan

They've got to get some parameters around this free agency open transfer portal nonsense. There has to be some things in place that can help with all the transfers every single season. I can't even keep up with our own rosters....

I really liked his instant offense and his ability to improve so my comment probably won't age well but I'm not sure he's built to play the way Auburn plays. He's not going to outrun anybody on the break and his 3 pt shooting could be a lot better. As much as I can't stand Pearl he'll probably get more out of him or he won't play that much.

A player who isn't an NBA player getting $2.7MM to play in college seems like a wise choice for the kid. I don't blame us for not paying that, because he's not worth it. Seems like a mutual parting basically.

You know in college sports when the contract is up, the last game of the season. Well maybe the tenth game. Well maybe the sixth game. Well maybe the second game. Well at least no one has left before the first game,,,,,,,,,,yet!
