Thanks for laying it out, but I think it's pretty likely you end up with 1 loss Alabama winning the west. After that, the Egg Bowl decides OM finished 2nd in the west with 10 wins or if there's going to be a 2-3 way tie for 2nd in the west with State holding the head to head over both A&M and OM.

It would only be the 2nd time since the 90's we ended up with a winning record in conference. We probably end up ranked in the mid teens and are staring at a nice bowl game. Doing that in year 2 of a complete rebuild... Schwing.

More realistically - we would finish 2nd in the West with a win over OM, correct? Assuming Bama beats ARK, as expected. Us, OM, and AM (assuming they beat LSU) would all finish 5-3 and we’d have the tiebreakers…

Yes. We would hold head to head victory tiebreakers with everyone else who would be 5-3 as long as we beat OM and Bama beats Arkansas. Pretty remarkable considering the way we started the season.

While the odds are low, and if you play the game 100 times Bama would win 97 of those times, it's mathematically possible.
