I actually like Alabama's football atmosphere, especially gameday.

They're what Mississippi State would be if we had any money. The fans are generally kind and well-behaved.

Arkansas fans seem to think they are a historic football program and deserve national respect. Meanwhile they have done squat to earn it.

Now I can't stand them. His history, his smirk. And yes I know it's a pitiful thing to dislike a school because of one person but I can't get over it.

UM (It's a rivalry thing) Bama (does this really need an explanation) Arkansas (inbred stepchild of SEC) Auburn (Tubbs made this easier) UF (we used to play them every year or it seemed like it.) LSU (simply because we haven't beat them in football much since 1990). The rest are interchangeable depending on the situation. Vandy would probably be the least-hated when it comes to sports.

In order of favorite to least favorite, taking all three sports and their fans into account:

1) State, obviously
2) Georgia
3) Auburn
4) South Carolina
5) LSU
6) Kentucky
7) Tennessee
8) Florida
9) Vanderbilt (possibly my least favorite fans in the conference)
10) Arkansas
11) Ole Miss
12) Alabama

I used to try to deny it because I feel like I should hate the Rebels the most, but I just don't. In football, I hate them both, but basketball big time goes to Alabama, giving them the overall edge.

I hate both of these schools....I guess since I grew up close to the Alabama line for Bama and Ole Miss...well they're Ole Miss.
The Ole Miss is more of just a Rivalry, these guys will be your neighbors and friends for life, but those bama fans....man....they wear their houndstooth..think what would have happened if we would have won a few national titles with Joe Lee Dunn.....no more socks for the maroon and white faithful.

These are the types of things that keep me up at night. Ole Miss people come with a certain sense of entitlement that irritates the majority of people that meets them. Of course they will deny this vehemently but that's just because a certain sense of arrogance is entrenched in their tiny heads.

bonedaddy your right, but we still are friends with those people. They argue that they have the best university and are arrogant about it. We just love our school and the people that make it up

It puts to rest the theory that was posted a week or so ago about beating Alabama being one coach's personal goal that we all have to just live with.....I know he wants personally to beat Alabama. But, he could have just as easily been accused of inspiring the bulldog faithful with that comment.

Are we? More acquaintances than friends for me.
If you won't be friends with someone just because they root for Ole Miss, you seriously need to take a step back and get your priorities straight.

I may be wrong, but I think he's saying that he doesn't really want to be friends with any of the Ole Miss people that he knows because they suck as people, not because of who they root for.

I agree with you on that one OP4. UT wasn't that bad until Peyton Manning signed. When that event happened, every toothless hillbilly in the area jumped on the band wagon. When I was growing up in Memphis, it was mostly Rebel, Tiger, State and Hog fans. UT has almost doubled all fan bases combined now. Most of their fanbase here can't even spell UT.

Maybe I'm reading this differently, but I would say that if you asked all of the fans in the SEC who is the most hated team I would have to say probably Florida. Sure, most people have their main rival that they hate the most, but I bet if you polled SEC fans across the board, UF would rate the highest, with LSU and Bama ranked closely behind.

My personal poll:

1. Ole Miss- mainly because if they get beat by MSU, it's always a "fluke". Sack up and give some people some credit where it is due.
2. Alabama- Because if you beat them in ANY sport, it's always well, we have 27 NC's in football and the Bear.
3. LSU- Because they cross the line- win or lose- in competition. Any SEC commercial that promotes sportsmanship should not have anything with LSU in it.
4. Arkansas- Because they think that they are SOOOO much better than Mississippi in general- and then are going to family reunions to pick up chicks.
5. Auburn- genuinely nice fans, but at the same time, these are the tools that wanted the cowbell banned. Kind of like when someone really tries to screw you over, is caught and proven to be an ******* and they try to treat you nice like nothing happened.
6. Florida- because their fans define douchebag.
7. Tennessee- may change this year, but I've never really had a problem with them. However, the actions of their coaches- Fulmer trying to undermine SEC programs (even if it was Bama) while they were cheating, and Bruce Pearl taking over as the conference attention *****, don't sit real well with me.
8. Kentucky- because their fans are as a whole, probably the dumbest in the SEC. And all the care about is basketball.
9. Vanderbilt- Yes, Vandy because their fans are really pretty crappy, they just never win enough and don't have the size for people to notice. Ask Jamont Gordon and our JUCO football players about Vandy fans.
10. South Carolina- Their fans aren't bad, but they had Lou Holtz and have Steve Spurrier.
11. Georgia- the only bad thing I can say about them is that Ron Polk left them for us and my boss is a UGA fan and she's an *******.

who don't have Bama in the top 2 of hated teams. I put it this way, "I want to beat Bama more than any other team, but I hate to lose to UM more than any other team."
