...and the train horn is especially appropriate for Southern Miss since there used to be a railroad track behind the baseball field.

That said, I kind of hate it largely because those flashing lights and the noise affects me pretty badly at least in the video clip embedded here.

One of the side effects of me having Aspergers is that at times bright lights and noises can be very irritating. It's not yet happened for me at concerts and outside sports events so I kind of wonder-- and this is a question for the Southern Miss folks here-- is this as bright and loud live as it is on video?

We hope @SouthernMissBSB sets an NCAA record for most HR’s in a season at home after seeing this insanely awesome light show ⚡️ pic.twitter.com/ywfwE3TBmz— 11Point7: The College Baseball Podcast 🎙 (@11point7) February 23, 2022

We've been doing that at Dudy Noble since the renovation.

You can kind of see it here:

You can't see it on Mac's 3 run bomb against Stanford because they aren't allowed to do it during the post season.

The train horn is enough, and I like it. But the flashing/flickering lights after a home run, or a touchdown in football... that’s too much for me. Seems like everyone is doing it now. I’m surprised more people haven’t had seizures. Now get off my damn lawn.

Thanks for that-- I didn't know State did it too and that tells you I've not been to a post-renovation game at Dudy Noble.

That doesn't seem to be too bad at all. Appreciate you sharing that.

Here's that tweet MStateDawg linked:

Yeah. I think ours is done in time with some music. Theirs looks more like a Pink Floyd concert.

Thats a lot. Especially when you acknowledge that they will have to do it when they hit a bomb down 9 runs in the 9th as well….

There's an old fashion air raid siren at The Dude on lower level in one of the boxes near Center Field. I don't mind it but I think the "light show" is a bit much anywhere
