My girlfriend watches these YouTube pollsters and they’ve been predicting this for months. They were always convincing and they meticulously broke down the numbers and explained why. I still doubted it, and used to tease they were just Trump cheerleaders, but they were right on.

The Russian interference ********.
Two impeachments
Two Lawsuits. Over 600K in damages.
93 Felony charges.
Convicted
They tried to kick him off the ballots
Shot

He is one tough Son of a *****.
Can't remember which commentator it was but they were talking about all those things and basically how depressing it was that they didn't work. But the dubmass still didn't realize the obvious corruption in the media, portions of the intelligence community, and some state legal system along with the sham impeachments helped trump. Trump has been from day 1 calling the system corrupt and those dubmasses were like, "maybe if we go out and provide very, very obvious and high profile evidence that he is correct, we can undermine his support." If they had just treated him like a normal candidate to begin with I'm not sure he ever gets his campaign off the ground in 2016.

checking in on Horse Hack and gflr this morning.
Hi- I am fine. I am a straight white married man in a high income householdand a US citizen- nothing Trump says is about me and nothing he wants to do will directly hurt my life.

As I said in another thread, I look forward to Trump successfully doing all the stuff he has promised to do, and will be able to do with a sweep of the Legislative and Executive elections.
War in Ukraine and Gaza will end quickly(and I believe before he even takes office?) and it will be beautiful, National debt will be eliminated in brilliantly quick fashion, inflation will plummet to tremendously low levels, markets will soar like we have never seen, and murders will be jailed at incredible speed.

Dead serious- I look forward to all this happening soon.

It's no coincidence these things happened when Biden was president and not when Trump was president. Of course we don't know exactly what will happen, but you can bet Russia and Iran know a new sheriff is in town starting in January.

You're “dead serious” yet you didn’t vote for him. Instead you voted for a person that claimed she’d change nothing all while she’d make things better (despite being in office for the past 4 years). Where’s the disconnect?

Plus, Trump has not promised to go after anyone (unless you’re illegal) so you join a very large group that will only benefit from him in office.

If half of that happens this world is a better place for all Americans and others.

I do think it's fair to hold him to his word and that's what the midterms will be all about. He's got two years to overcome the resistance then he's just a lame duck

Yes I seriously look forward to those things happening. He promised them, I like them, and so I look forward to them happening.
There is no disconnect- I am allowed to like things that Trump has promised.

The real disconnect is that you seem to think this is all a binary scenario when its actually a buffet. I dont have to support everything one candidate says or does while rejecting everything another candidate says or does.

The guy has flat out said to his supporters at a rally that he doesnt actually care about them and only wants their vote. They lapped it up.
So from that perspective, I dont think he feels any obligation to follow through on everything he promised that got him elected, even though he has a wide open opportunity to do so since Congress is Red. I think he will do whatever he thinks is best for him in the moment moving forward and when questioned on why he hasnt done what he promised, he will just say everything he said during his first 2 years in office when he also had a wide open opportunity to accomplish what he promised and did almost none of it.

But as to me being sarcastic about that post- no, it is genuine. Of course I hope he ends the wars in Ukraine and Gaza...well I hope they end with established borders being respected, and that should go without saying, but here its now said. And of course I hope inflation is low...why wouldnt I? Of course I hope markets soar...why wouldnt I?

Thats all genuine.
Trump is the new president- I trust that the election was legitimate since nothing has come out to show otherwise, and so I now hope Trump can successfully improve my life in the ways he promised.

I appreciate your attitude and acceptance of the results, I really do. And I guess none of this discussion matters anymore, about Trump, Biden, or Kamala - which is a great thing. I'm glad it's over. I'm not a gloater at all, because (just like with State sports), I've learned any victory can be temporary, and that great big wrecking ball of karma is swinging around out there and will eventually get back around to me.

But I have to ask -- I would love to see any reference to Trump saying he doesn't care about someone... especially to his supporters at a rally. I've never seen anything remotely similar to what you're saying here. If anything, he probably goes overboard telling everyone how much he cares about them, as far as I've seen. Did he actually say something like you wrote, or was this simply some leftover election hyperbole?

Then why didn’t you vote for him? What exactly did Kamala promise that sold you on her over Trump?

Nothing like a little political butthurt to draw out the true narcissism in people
I posted that because it matters in the point I was making.
- If the insane tariffs he has proposed actually do happen, we are insulated enough to absorb the hurt and be OK in the end. That is not the case for many who fall into all the other categories I mentioned.
- If taxes are cut, they will likely help me if anything.

Again, by all accounts- I will be just fine so no wellness check needed here.

At a rally in Vegas he said 'I dont care about you. I just want your vote. I dont care.' and then he said 'the press will take that and say he said a horrible thing'.
Take that for what you think it is- a joke that lacked a set-up or punch line but got laughs, or him telling people what he really thinks in a humorous manner(which is what he constantly did at these rallies).

Are you really dumb enough to not see the joke? You realize he was joking about it being 100 degrees at his rally, and people surviving the heat.

Geez, I don't agree with many things Republicans are saying these days, but I'm not a biased moronic idiot either.

You be the judge. I'm going with joke that didn't land well. Another same screen 2 movies example. You'll see what you want based on how you feel about him.

A lot of what he says are 'jokes' that just arent funny. And a lot of what he says that is serious is actually funny because its so crazy. So at any one time he could be serious or joking. He has frequently said something, gotten laughs, and it was serious.

As I said- people can take all that how they want. I offered up both possible scenarios in the post you quoted, so its not like I am unaware he could have been kidding.

Im good, thanks though. I have seen the video a bunch- he rants and says something outlandish, a few people chuckle, he then rants about how he will be in trouble for saying the outlandish thing.
Thats his thing- mixing jokes with truth and blurring the line as to which he meant at any given moment.

It for sure could have been a joke that didnt land well.
bad joke womp womp.

Snopes says "...videos typically omitted context that made it clear he was joking."
