There might be a good reason for this but on the surface it is a little surprising to me. A good friend of mine has a son who is a 2026 OL prospect. He is a good kid with good grades and plays at a large HS in MS. He was invited to camp at several schools including Top Dawg Camp this past summer at MSU. So far, he has been offered by several schools including Ole Miss, Florida State, Ga Tech, and NC State. He has been invited and attended games at UGA and Auburn this season. But MSU has shown very little interest. Once again there might be a good reason for this but I would have thought if that many other schools had him so highly rated he would have at least received some interest from MSU. With all this being said, like many kids, he has a dream offer, mainly because of his dad, and that is Alabama. I would imagine if they offer it would be over. Unfortunately, his favorite at this point is probably Ole Miss. I hate to say it but they have done a good job of recruiting him and making him feel like he is a priority. Anyway, it has been interesting to "go through" the recruiting process with this family and it is going to be interesting to see how it all unfolds.
