Can we find any example of a player transferring from one school to another and having a dramatic impact on their stats?

My guess is that it is irrelevant what team the player is on, they will have the same stats as before.

Ervin had more assists but did he average more points? Did he get more PT?

Point being, lets watch Bengina next year and the next and see if his stats go through the roof. My guess? He will average about 10-12 points per game, shoot 85% at the free throw line, and have a few rebounds and assists. Just like he did at MSU. Who will he blame then?

but maybe just cause he was older and better. David Huertas is doing a lot more than he would have at Florida.

Though he'll have the exact same stats, on a team that doesn't go to the NCAAs, he'll feel he's been more successful.

While your examples are true, they are also skewed by the fact that neither of those guys played a ton as freshmen here and at UF. Maybe a better question would have been has there been an impact when the players minutes have been consistent? In other words, has a player gotten 25 minutes at school A, then transferred to school B and gotten 25 minutes and seen markedly higher stats at school B.

I doubt that many starters transfer who start. I do remember Brian Reese leaving UNC for Louisville, and he was a starter.

for Ben, im sure you are right. his stats will probably be similar. but he may enjoy the style of play more and be happy, even though he has the same general stats.

Ervin scored more at Arkansas than at MSU. and his A/TO ratio was better too(not by much).

you can use the most recent tournament champs and look at some of the talent that left there.

David Padgett- played at KU for a year, and averaged 6.5ppg and 4.5rpg. went to LVL and averaged around 10.3ppg and 5.5rpg over three seasons. his minutes went up about 5/game at LVL.
JR Giddens- played at KU for two years and averaged 10.6ppg, 3.7rpg, and 1.1apg. landed at New Mexico and averaged 16.1ppg, 7.7rpg, and 2.7apg. his minutes went up about 5/game at New Mexico.

Micah Downs- at KU, he averaged 4.3ppg, 2.2rpg ,and 1apg. after transferring to Gonzaga, he has averaged 8pg, 3.7rpg, and 1.3apg. his minutes have also gone up by 9/game.

I guess I meant to say, which transfer propelled his career so much that he went to the NBA? So that the transfer, truly worked out as a true stepping stone to bigger and better things?

I can't think of any transfer that changed anything of significance by transferring.
