I hate it that we have to go the JUCO route. Instead hope it's another JJ Johnson.

Damn bammers have the #1 and 2 RB's in the nation coming. Pisser ...

Can someone tell me what's made this guy a hot commodity after Memphis was his only decent option two years ago?

I see 135 carries for 651 yards and 10 TDs in 8 games.

We have to have a running back.. Our present backs run hard but have very little juke. Hell, I can run hard.

We should have gotten a running back last year via the portal.....
Dillon Johnson runs hard and with some power. Woody Marks gets a lot of grief on here for coming out of the game alot but that dude has taken some tremendous hits.

He came from a smaller school and got no real press.

This happens every year with players. I know a kid right now who plays in Arkansas at a 6a and he has no ranking. He never comes off the field. He returns the kicks, punts. Starting RB. Switches over and plas LB or safety. Had 6 TD in one game one being a pick 6 and forced a fumble too. Runs a 4.5, 6' and 195. 3 time state wrestling champ.

161 Carries 1104 yds, 28 receptions 698 yds, 2255 All Purpose yds, 29 Total TDs.

ZERO offers.

NONE. Not even ranked.

He will end up at some place like UCA

We need a guy with enough juke to make that 1st defender miss on that dump pass we run 90% of the time.

I question that ranking. We are his best offer and before Juco would have been his best offer. Hope he is a good get for us. But #1? Maybe juco RBs are down

I guess that's the answer. Leach sees something he can use.

The #1 ranking seems pretty damn random.

I hope the kid's a stud.

it doesn’t matter how good the kid is or may be leach won’t use him enough to make a difference.
Leach uses his RBs.

Our 2 starters both lead the SEC in receptions. And that's why this RB is coming to MSU. To improve his over all game.

Our current rushing stats , 1075 Yards, attempts 236, avg 3.6, YDL 226, per game 77.2 TDS 11 and total net 849. Where talking rushing for a RB not sec receptions. Like I said it doesn’t matter cause Leach won’t use him enough to make a differenc.

And like I said. It all matters. He uses RBs. And has ran it more this year and will continue to do so

Our two primary backs, Marks and Johnson, have had 250 touches (166 runs & 84 receptions) accounting for 1,377 net yards, or 31% of our total offense.

we need running backs (PLURAL)

the nfl is proving EVERY WEEK that a passing game ain’t worth a 17 $—+ without a running game

Again I wasn’t referring to any pass catching only rushing. We’ve supposedly (according to ibdancin) a stud running back, unfortunately in Leaches offense you don’t need someone of that caliber. Marks and Johnson are perfect examples. Therefore if this kid is the top JC running back his skill set for running the ball will be wasted.

If you don't look at receptions when talking about using a running back in Leach's system, you're not understanding the system very well.

Which is kinda common hereabouts.

Same can be said for the NFL. If you can't catch passes it's hard to land a roster spot. Gotta be able to pass block and catch the ball if you wanna play in the league. If you play for Mike you will pass block and catch it. The 1970's were a long time ago. Not much 3 yards and a cloud of dust going on
