Ok, he might go to Florida, but I doubt he'll be offered. So, let's say that he's not going. All this does, besides create some heart problems and suicide watches for some of our fans, is promote our coach. Now, before you flip out, understand that this is not a genespage-type "everything is perfect" post and I am worried. In fact, as GhostofJackie said, I'm shaking in my pants. But I'm also trying to be realistic. Think of it this way... if you're a recruit and you're deciding between MSU and another program, let's say Auburn or Ole Miss, doesn't this change your perspective of State all of the sudden? All of the sudden you realize that, damn, this guy must be a pretty good coach. His name is everywhere I look. Regardless of if he gets offered the job or not, his name is on the list for the next coach at Florida, and you don't get that kind of respect for no reason. Again, this is all assuming he doesn't leave, of course, but it makes sense. And if he doesn't leave this can only help. Hell, we all know that he will get more and more attention if he keeps improving here, so it's not like this wasn't expected, even if it is a lot earlier than expected. Bottom line, I don't think he'll leave because he won't be offered, but having his name out there means having our name out there, and that's good.
