Must have offensive line to win in football

Tough loss. Disregarding injuries, even if the Gamecocks had healthy offensive linemen all season, we would still have the worst offensive line play in D1 football. For us to have receiving talent like Wells, Leggette, Harbor and Knox is meaningless if there is no offensive line talent or proper coaching. This is going to be Coach Beamer's kryptonite - an inability to recruit top notch SEC linemen and an inability to find and hire a top notch offensive line coach. Honestly, why would great skill players want to play here only to get mauled every game with D2 linemen trying to block for them as defensive players pour through each snap of the ball. In my opinion, the past 3 seasons have shown me the worst offensive line talent and the worst positional coaching there in the last 30 years of following Carolina football.

I think there’s reason for optimism on the ol front. With the fr. who played plus the injuriEd one who missed the season and some excellent prospects committed for once I see the chance for SEC ol play. Wish I had the same feeling of optimism for improved dl play.

I believe we'll be doing more portal shopping for DL...particularly DTs.
